Job Summary

The Marketing Website Engineer is a key member of the SproutLoud Marketing department that manages SproutLoud’s public website and also develops graphics where needed for marketing campaigns. This role owns the management of the SproutLoud website including management of existing pages, creation of new pages, development of landing pages and the creation of Pardot emails.  Additionally this role helps support our Graphics Designer by assisting in the development of graphics including artwork and logos for all internal and external communications.  

Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical aspects of SproutLoud.com design 
  • Write HTML and CSS to spec
  • Maintain Wordpress website 
  • Develop strategies to improve session length, page views, engagement and conversion
  • Recommend improvements and optimizations with current system configurations and business processes
  • Set up email and landing page templates in PARDOT
  • Use Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to develop artwork, infographics, logos and other elements for internal and external marketing needs at the direction of Graphic Designer
  • Creating and maintaining custom websites built on Wordpress and/or Drupal platforms
  • Collaborating on user interaction models, workflows and interfaces.
  • Participating in product discovery workshops and studios
  • Recommending improvements and optimizations with current system configurations and business processes.
  • Writing technical documentation on the products you are enhancing/developing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in User Centered Design, Web technologies or related experience
  • 3+ years of experience with front end development (HTML and CSS)
  • Experience with managing micro-sites
  • Familiarity with Wordpress and Drupal modules and configuration
  • Experience working with Pardot 
  • Hands on experience working with plugins in Wordpress 
  • Graphics design experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Experience writing Less or Sass
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly-organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus
  • Familiarity with responsive design

Not required but would be a plus:

  • Basic After Effects skills 
  • Basic Premiere Pro skills
  • Agile Development
  • Writing Less or Sass
  • User Experience Workshop
